It's clearly the best movie of the three. Well, acted, well-directed, the visuals were incredible. Cuaron's Hogwarts is much closer to my mental picture of the place. I, however, have read the book and while this isn't the worst adaptation I've ever seen it comes close. I know what happens in the next 2 books and there are things in the next two movies that they simply won't be able to explain now because certain VERY key bits of info were ignored. For that reason, I hated this movie. And not because it was a bad movie, but because unless they write elements of THIS story's plot line into the next movie (and they can't...they simply won't have the time), the rest of Harry's cinematic story won't make any bloody sense. They may as well not even make the next two. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kimberly Reid" To: Sent: Saturday, June 26, 2004 8:26 PM Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] NCR: ATTN: Joe > ..yeah, um, that particular piece (partial example I posted) got VERY SAUCY in the next few chapters....it was definitely rated "R", if not "NC-17".... > > Yes, Joe's rated "G" was definitely MUCH better. > > BTW, Joe, how'd you like the third Harry Potter movie? It was exceptionally amusing to my family, because Ashlee has a DEEP aversion to rodents and was so uncomfortable in parts of the movie she just had to close her eyes. It tickles my little ones to see their big, brave sister cower away from anything. > > > > > > ----Original Message Follows---- > From: "Lee Reed" > Date: Sat, 26 Jun 2004 00:52:38 -0400 > > *clap clap clap*....much better than the tripe that kim put up as an example (no offense to you, kim) > Lee > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ > Get fast, reliable Internet access with MSN 9 Dial-up - now 3 months FREE! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss@creedlisters.com > http://lists.creedlisters.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss > _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@creedlisters.com http://lists.creedlisters.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
